Regenerate a lesson block

Use the Course Assistant to rewrite or regenerate one lesson block while keeping the rest of the lesson unchanged.

There is no Regenerate section button in the current editor. Attach the specific block to chat, describe the change, and review the proposal before saving it.

  1. Open the editable draft

    Open Course draft and select the lesson containing the block you want to replace.

  2. Attach the block

    Open the block’s three-dot menu and select Add to chat.

  3. Describe the regeneration

    In the Course Assistant, ask it to regenerate that block and state what must change or remain, such as tone, detail, examples, or source grounding.

  4. Review the proposal

    Compare the proposed content with the source and check any warnings or linked-question impact.

  5. Apply or reject

    Approve or apply the proposed change to save it, or reject or cancel it to keep the current block.

Faster small edits

For a smaller change, use Shorten or Add detail from the same three-dot menu. Both actions show a preview before Save.

Scope limits

Regeneration operates on a lesson block, not a whole source section, lesson, module, or published read-only version. Create or open a draft before editing a published course version.
