Set correct answers and explanations

Every scored question needs an accurate answer key. An explanation is optional, but it can help learners understand why the correct response is right after they submit.

Use Course Assistant to update the answer and explanation together, then verify the proposed answer key before saving.

  1. Open the question

    In Course draft, open the unit, Module Quiz, or Course Assignment that contains the question.

  2. Add the question to Course Assistant

    Open the question's three-dot action button and choose Add to Chat.

  3. Request an answer-key update

    State which choice should be correct and ask for a concise explanation grounded in the course source. If choices must change, include that in the same request.

  4. Review Answer key

    Check the preview's Answer key, Correct answer marker, and explanation. Make sure the answer still matches the displayed choices exactly.

  5. Save and test

    Select Save, then use Learner Preview and Check answer to confirm the result and explanation appear as intended.

Good explanation practice

Explain the principle or evidence that makes the response correct instead of only repeating the answer.

For true/false questions, keep the choices as True and False and make the explanation resolve the misconception directly.
