Assign or remove a course

Assign learning from the learner's workspace record. The current assignment modal supports either one course or one learning path for the selected learner at a time.

Removing a course assignment revokes the access provided by that assignment. Access from another assignment remains active, and the learner's progress and certificates are retained.

  1. Open the learner

    Go to Workspace > Learners & Access > Learners. Search for the learner and use Open learner to open their record.

  2. Select Assign learning

    Choose Assign learning. Under Assignment type, select Course.

  3. Choose a course

    Open Choose a course and select an available course. Courses already assigned directly or included in an assigned path are disabled and labeled accordingly.

  4. Confirm the assignment

    Select Assign course. LoreGraph confirms Learning assigned, or reports Already assigned when no new assignment was created.

  5. Remove a course assignment

    In the learner's Assignments table, open Actions for the course and choose Remove course. Review the access impact in Remove course?, then confirm Remove course.

Removal behavior

The learner loses access to that course only when no other direct assignment or learning path still grants it.

Progress and certificates are kept so they are available if the learner is assigned again. If the course is nested in a learning path, remove the learning path assignment; there is no learner-level action to remove only one nested course. Removing the learner from the workspace is a separate action that revokes all workspace learning assignments.
