Make assessments available to learners
Quiz question sets are part of the course version; they do not have a separate Publish button. Learners receive the assessments enabled in Learning settings when that course version is published.
Review the questions and learner behavior before publishing, because changes saved only to an open draft are not automatically the active learner version.
Choose generated assessments
Open Course Settings > Learning and review Inline practice questions, Module-end quizzes, and Final assignment under Generated assessments.
Save learning settings
Turn the generated assessment locations on or off as needed and select Save.
Preview the questions
Open Learner Preview and test every enabled assessment, including answer feedback, retries, scores, and progression.
Open Publishing
Return to Course Settings > Publishing and choose the ready Course version for learners when the version selector is available.
Publish the course version
Set Lifecycle status to Published and select Save. The enabled quizzes and assignment in that version become learner-facing with the course.
Current limits
An assessment location that was not generated during course creation cannot be enabled from Learning settings.
Publishing a course does not create missing question sets, and there is no independent quiz-only publication state.
