Understand course and learner statuses

LoreGraph tracks course creation, publication, and learner progress separately. During creation, a job moves through document processing, plan review, lesson generation, and Ready.

The course lifecycle itself is Draft, Published, or Archived. Assignment and completion belong to learner enrollment and progress, not the course lifecycle.

  1. Process the source

    After Create course, follow the creation stages until Plan ready for review.

  2. Review the plan

    Edit the proposed units, objectives, and source coverage if needed, then approve the plan.

  3. Generate the draft

    LoreGraph generates lessons and assessments, then opens Course draft. Generated and Reviewed describe creation checkpoints, not course lifecycle values.

  4. Publish the course

    Open Course Settings, select Publishing, set Lifecycle status to Published, satisfy the readiness checks, and save.

  5. Assign and track learners

    Invite or assign learners through Learners & Access. Learner progress can be Not started, In progress, or Completed while the course remains Published.

  6. Archive when needed

    Set the lifecycle to Archived to stop new enrollments while preserving eligible existing access, progress, and records.

Three kinds of status

Processing includes stages such as Queued, Extracting document, Plan ready for review, Generating course, and Ready.

Lifecycle is Draft, Published, or Archived. Enrollment and progress cover invitations, active access, and completion.
