Configure and audit course certificates

Configure certificate eligibility per course, then use Workspace Certificates to audit certificates issued after learners meet the saved rule. Eligible certificates are issued automatically after recorded course completion.

The current workspace certificate registry is read-only. It supports filtering, evidence review, PDF download when ready, and CSV export, but it does not provide edit, revoke, or reissue actions.

  1. Open Certification settings

    Open the course and select Course Settings > Certification.

  2. Enable and name the certificate

    Turn on Enable certificate, then set Certificate title and Issuer name.

  3. Choose completion criteria

    Under Completion rule, choose Complete required units or Complete units and pass quiz. For the quiz rule, set Pass score from 0 to 100.

  4. Choose delivery preferences and save

    Review Public verification and Email learner on issue, then select Save. Delivery email and PDF behavior also depend on the certificate worker configuration.

  5. Open Workspace Certificates

    In the workspace sidebar, select Certificates. Search by learner or course, filter by status, or enter a Course ID.

  6. Review, download, or export

    Use View certificate to open Certificate detail, Evidence, and Audit history. Use Download when the PDF is ready, or select Export CSV for the current filtered registry.

Registry limits

Workspace Certificates is explicitly a read-only registry. Status filters include Active, Expired, Revoked, Replaced, and Pending review, but there are no current workspace actions to change those statuses.

Download is unavailable until PDF status is ready. Email learner on issue works only where certificate PDF and email processing are enabled. The Public verification preference is saved, but the current public verification lookup does not enforce that preference, so do not use this toggle as an access-control boundary.

Access and plan availability

Personal workspace owners and active organization owners or admins can access workspace certificate records.

Pricing lists certificates for Starter, Growth, Business, and Enterprise, not Free; workspace entitlement and rollout configuration can still affect availability.
