Prepare a document for better course structure

LoreGraph uses document headings to organize source sections. Clear heading levels, focused paragraphs, and simple tables give the planner a more reliable structure.

LoreGraph cannot repair the original document inside the course editor. Update the source file and upload the revision, then use plan review for supported course-structure corrections.

  1. Open the original document

    Edit the source in Word, PowerPoint, or the application where it was created.

  2. Create a clear heading hierarchy

    Use one main heading for each major topic and consistent subheadings for lessons. Do not use bold body text as a substitute for headings.

  3. Simplify difficult content

    Convert scans to readable text when possible, split very complex tables, and remove repeated headers, footers, or unrelated appendices.

  4. Save a revised file

    Export to a supported format and confirm that the saved file contains your changes.

  5. Upload the revision

    Return to Create New Course and upload the revised file as a new source.

  6. Correct the plan

    At Plan ready for review, select Edit plan. Update unit titles and objectives, include or exclude source sections, or move a unit within its current module. Select Save changes.

Current plan-editor limits

Plan review does not rename modules, add or remove whole modules or lessons, move lessons between modules, or edit the duration estimate.

Low-coverage sources

LoreGraph can stop instead of generating a low-quality single-lesson course when the source contains several headings but extraction produces too little usable structure. Clean the source and upload it again.
