Choose public or invite-only course access
Published courses support two discovery settings: Public and Invite only. Public courses are listed and discoverable in Courses; invite-only courses require an invitation, assignment, or active access link.
For an invite-only course, an access link can start a signed-in learner immediately or create a request that an authorized workspace manager must approve.
Open Visibility and access
Open the course, select Course Settings > Publishing, and find Visibility and access.
Choose Discovery visibility
Choose Public for a listed, discoverable course or Invite only for a course that requires an invite or assignment.
Publish and save
Set Lifecycle status to Published and select Save. Invite Links appear for an invite-only course only after it can accept learner access.
Generate an invite link
Under Invite Links, select Generate Link. Optionally set Expiry date and Max uses, then choose Start immediately or Require approval for Learner access.
Share or review access
Copy the generated link and share it with intended learners. For Require approval links, review requests under Workspace > Learners & Access > Access Requests.
Link lifecycle
Invite links target a specific learner-facing course version. Publish a new version and generate a new link when an older link is marked Old version.
A link can also become unavailable when it is revoked, expired, or reaches its usage limit. Revoking a link prevents new uses; it does not remove access already granted.
Who can manage access
Course owners and authorized organization managers can change publishing access, generate or revoke links, and approve access requests.
Learners must sign in before an access link can enroll them or create an approval request. In the current implementation, the signed-in account must also already be represented in Learners & Access, so add or invite the person to the workspace roster before sharing the link.
