Analytics and Reporting

Summary

Analytics help admins understand training adoption, learner progress, quiz performance, and follow-up needs.

Who this is for

  • Workspace admins
  • Training managers
  • Compliance owners

Before you start

  • You need published or assigned courses with learner activity.
  • You need permission to view learner and course analytics.
  • Know which outcomes matter for the rollout.

Concepts

Course analytics can show enrolled learners, started, completed, completion rate, average score, failed attempts, and last activity.

Learner analytics can show assigned courses, completed courses, quiz scores, attempts, and last active date.

Quiz analytics can show average score, pass rate, hardest questions, missed topics, and retake rate where supported.

Exports should be treated as planned unless your workspace exposes report export controls.

Steps

  1. Open the course or workspace analytics area.
  2. Review course-level progress first.
  3. Identify learners who have not started or have not completed.
  4. Review quiz score patterns and failed attempts.
  5. Improve confusing lessons or questions.
  6. Follow up with learners or managers as needed.

Settings reference

SettingWhat it doesRecommended default
Completion rateShows how many learners completed the course.Use to track rollout adoption.
Average scoreShows overall quiz performance.Use with question-level review.
Last activityShows recency of learner progress.Use to identify stalled learners.
Export reportsProduces offline reporting where supported.Mark as planned unless enabled in your workspace.

Example

A compliance owner checks which employees completed the privacy course, reviews pass rates, follows up with learners who need retry, and edits a question that many people missed.

Common mistakes

  • Looking only at completion rate and ignoring quiz quality.
  • Treating low scores as learner failure before checking the course content.
  • Exporting reports without checking privacy and retention needs.
  • Waiting until the due date to notice stalled learners.
